Widget Sizes

iOS supports three widget sizes; Theme Studio supports all three for most widget types.

Small (2 x 2)

The 2-column-by-2-row tile. The most common size on most Home Screens.

Medium (4 x 2)

Twice as wide as Small. Same height. Useful for content that needs more horizontal room (date + weekday, weather with location, etc.).

Large (4 x 4)

The biggest standard widget. Quadruple the area of Small. Some widget types like Photo and App Grid look best at this size.

Which size to use

• Clock, Calendar, Battery, Weather, work at every size.
• App Grid, Medium or Large only (you need the room).
• Photo, every size, but small Photo widgets crop heavily.
• Quote, Medium or Large reads best.

After picking the size

Configure the widget's specific options, then save it to the Widget Library. Apply it to your Home Screen with Applying Widgets.
