Custom Icons
Use your own image as an icon glyph. Theme Studio composites it with whatever background you've set in Studio just like a built-in icon.
Where to import
The Import button appears in four places, all opening the same import sheet:
- Browse → Custom chip (first chip in the pack picker), tap the + tile.
- Studio → Icon Pack picker, tap the dotted-border + chip.
- Export List → top of the list, Import Custom Icon button.
- Bakery → icon picker, Export List tab, + tile.
Supported formats
- PNG (recommended), keeps a transparent background.
- JPEG, works, but the background is opaque. Use the Remove Background toggle to cut it out.
5 MB upload size limit.
The import sheet
- Workspace, square preview with optional checker pattern (transparency) and grid (sizing guide). Looks like an iOS icon at the correct corner radius.
- Helper toggles (below the workspace), toggle the checker, the grid, and a Fill mode.
- Pan + Scale, same controls as wallpaper editing in Studio. Drag the joystick to pan, drag the slider to scale.
- Fill toggle, replaces every opaque pixel with a colour. Tap the swatch next to the toggle to pick the colour. Useful for unifying monochrome glyphs.
- Remove Background, only useful for JPEGs and PNGs with solid backgrounds. Samples the corner colour and erases pixels near that colour. The Tolerance slider tunes how aggressive the cut is.
Managing your custom icons
Long-press any custom icon (in Browse or Settings → Custom Icons) for Edit and Delete options.
- Edit re-opens the import sheet pre-loaded with the saved PNG. Saving overwrites the original.
- Delete removes the file. Export-list items that referenced it will show a missing image.
A full management screen lives in Settings → Library → Manage Custom Icons.
Persistence
Custom icons are saved on your device in the Documents folder. They survive app updates and reinstalls. They do not sync across devices.
